HONESTY

Honesty occurs when people tell the truth.

Honesty is also avoiding behaviors such as stealing or cheating.

Withholding information

Telling the complete truth when asked

Telling what you know about a situation before being asked

Stealing

Taking something that belongs to someone else as a joke or without permission

Getting permission before borrowing something and returning it

Returning something, saying thanks and (if possible) in better shape than when borrowed

Cheating

Telling students answers or letting them look at your paper

Not citing sources in research or claiming someone else’s work as your own.

Not doing your part on a group project

Doing your own work

Citing sources and giving credit where credit is due.

Doing only your part for a group project on time

Helping others learn without just giving them the answer
Citing sources accurately and completely

Doing what is expected and helping others in the group who are struggling
