ISAT TESTING BEGINS ON MARCH 2, 2010 AT BVS

Dear Parents:
Beginning March 2, the students will be taking the 2010 ISAT tests that tell how well we are doing in relationship to the Illinois Learning Standards. Students in grades five through eight will be tested in reading and math. In addition, students in grades five, six, and eight will be tested in writing and grade seven will be tested in science. You can help your child and us be prepared by:
- Making sure your child arrives at school each day well-rested (8-10 hours of sleep) and on time.
- Rearranging any conflicting appointments so that your child does not miss any part(s) of the test.
- Making sure your child has a good breakfast each morning.
- Making sure that any child who wears glasses has them at school for testing days.
- Reminding your child to ask questions if there is something he/she does not understand.
- Encouraging your child to do his/her best.
We will be testing March 2-12.
