Belle Valley Parents

Health Office -

The school's nurses are on duty during school hours. They will help the student to determine if he/she needs temporary treatment or if the student's parents are to be notified. If a student finds it necessary to see the nurse, he/she must report to their teacher and request a pass to the Health Office.

Students are not to report to the nurse's office between classes except, of course, in the case of an emergency. If the nurse is not available in her office, the student should report to the main office. By state law, the Health Office cannot serve as a clinic, and the nurse can provide first aid for minor injuries and emergency treatment only.

Administering Medicines to Students -

Students should not take medication during school hours or during school-related activities unless it is necessary for a student's health and well-being. As stated in the school handbook, a student may possess medication prescribed for asthma for immediate use at the student's discretion, provided the student's parent(s)/guardian(s) have completed and signed a School Medication Authorization Form, either non-prescription or prescription.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school nurse.
