It is hard to believe that way back in 1875, Belle Valley had 22 students!
But now, in 2012 , we have 965 students, all in one school. But we don't really know much about this school, do we? We interviewed Dr. Lieb and Dr. O to ask them some questions. The main problems with the old schools were expensive renovations, poor maintenance, and the age of the buildings. South was around in the 50s. The new school is better because it's energy conservative. It has efficiency heating and cooling, it's computer-smart, and it meets certification requirements. The funding for the school came from a Capitol Development grant and taxes. This school cost 32 million dollars. The original estimate was 40 million dollars which means that this school was built for 8 million under the original budget.
