We will not have noon or hourly detentions today. All noon detentions have been scheduled for Friday, or the students next available date.
Band and chorus students: The end of the year picnic will be held on Monday. 5th and 6th grades will come to the outside concessions stand between 11:00 and 12:00. 7th and 8th grades will come to the outside concessions stand between 12:00 and 1:00.
Annie Jr. performances will be tomorrow and Saturday night at 7:00 pm in the Cafeteria. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Adults are $5.00, students $4.00, and kids not yet in school are free. Come out to support your fellow classmates!

Congratulations to previous members of the Belle Valley cheer team, Anne Johnson and Kelsey Quirin, who have made it onto their high school cheerleading teams for next year. Miss Adams is so proud of their hard work and dedication to the sport. Good luck and have a wonderful season next year!
Annie Jr. cast members and props and lighting crew need to come to the stage this morning at 8:30 am.
The following students need to see Mrs. McGinthy as soon as the announcements are over: Terrice Randolph, Cameron Brooks, Kayla Council, and Layne Price.
Reminder to all students that tomorrow is Field Day! Please wear / bring sunscreen. You may also wear a hat and / or sunglasses. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes. If you did not previously sign up to buy your lunch please remember to bring your lunch with you.

A salute to a fifth grader Gabe Carter who found $20.00 in the hallway Friday morning and
immediately gave it to an adult. Good for you Gabe for doing the right thing. People notice and
will remember your honesty.
The track season ended Saturday on a high note as two of our track athletes took home state
medals. James Bauer finished 2nd at state in the 7th grade 100 meter with a time of 12. 28
seconds. Kiera Douglas finished 6th at state in the long jump with a personal best jump of 15 ft 8
inches. Congratulations to our state winners! The end of the season track party will be this
Wednesday morning at 7am with our donuts and dodgeball party in the multi-purpose gym. Your
uniform must be turned in to Mrs. David before the party. See you then!

Make sure to say good luck to the state qualifying track athletes today - Alexis Williams, James Bauer, Kiera Douglas, and Rachel Collins. Tomorrow is the state track meet in Carterville, IL. Reminder to the the athletes going to the state track meet tomorrow. Be at school tomorrow by 6:50am for the bus at 7am. The rest of the team needs to turn in their uniforms.

Track practice after school til 4pm only for the state qualifiers. The rest of the track team needs to bring their clean uniforms to Mrs. David.
Yesterday for Hat and Shades Day the amount collected was $236 for the American Cancer Society. The check will be sent today.

Girls got 2nd place in the medium school category at yesterday’s feeder meet. Individual places will be announced tomorrow. All of the girls did an awesome job! Boys track team will be dismissed at 1:50. Change and meet in the main lobby. Good luck boys! There will be track practice on Thursday for all of the state qualifiers. The end of the season Donuts and Dodgeball party for all of the track athletes that finished the season will be next Wednesday, May 16th before school at 7am.

Attention any 8th grade girls trying out for the East cheer team, the Belleville East cheer coach would like you to remember to complete the online registration and get your recommendations turned in before tryouts. If these are not completed, you will not be able to try out. Tryouts are approaching fast, good luck and have fun.

At yesterday’s regional track meet, we had 4 Belle Valley athletes qualify for the State Track Meet on Saturday, May 12th. Those who qualify had to get a 1st or 2nd place finish to move on to the state meet. We had many other track athletes place at yesterday’s meet. These are the athletes that qualified for the state meet:
Kiera Douglas - 1st place - long jump - 13 ft 10 and a half inches
Rachel Collins - 1st place - discuss - 76 feet 9 and a half inches
Alexis Williams - 2nd place - shot put - 26 feet 10 inches
James Bauer - 2nd place - 7th grade 100 meter - 12.58 seconds
Coach Gleadle and Coach David want to congratulate the track team on a great meet yesterday. You all did your absolute best and we are very proud of your accomplishments!
The track team will have practice after school. Meet in the gym.
All students will need to bring a leisure reading book to their music and technology special area classes today for the aimsweb sweeps.

Congratulations to our 5th graders. They went for the two-peat, taking home the Color wars win for the 2nd year in a row. With 71% participation and winning by a landslide, 5th grade will be honored with a special treat this week!! Coming in 2nd place was 7th grade with 56% participation. Not trailing far behind was 8th grade with 55% participation. 6th grade finished things up with 33% participation. Thanks for everyone’s participation and we look forward to seeing if the 5th graders will bring it home again next year!!!
